For two weeks each semester, regular class schedules come to a halt and the entire student body participates in Intersession.
Intersession is another way that Clark lives up to it's motto "Bringing Education to Life".
Fall Intersessions are assigned by class, Spring Intersessions are chosen by the student with help from advisors and parent/guardians.
They are then fully immersed in that subject for the entire day during those two weeks.

All students participate in all eight Intersessions held during their high school career. Each is worth one-half credit towards graduation.
All Intersessions also require a financial investment. Some investments can be quite substantial such as Intersession trips to foreign countries.

For the Fall Intersession, there are four Intersessions, and each student is required to take the one for their class. These Intersessions are as follows:

  -   Freshmen  -  Freshman Orientation
  -   Sophomores  -  Community Service (same guidelines as Clark's regular Community Service)
  -   Juniors  -  College Tours
  -   Seniors  -  Job Internship

For the Spring Intersession, there is quite a large number of varied experiences any student of any age can choose from. At Clark we are very proud of the real-life opportunites we are able to provide our students!
Below is a list for the Spring Intersession of the 2006-2007 Clark school year.

Intersessions for Appalachian Trail, Costa Rica, New York City, Kentucky, Mexico and Morroco each visit those places for the bulk of the Intersession.
Habitat for Humanity this year takes place in Phelps, Kentucky.
Most of the rest take place around the Cincinnati area, some stay on the Clark campus.
All Intersessions, including those on the Clark campus, use experts or expertise from outside the Clark faculty or staff to provide a larger perspective on the subject at hand.
All Intersessions have a cost involved, some, such as trips outside the country, can be somewhat substantial. Though rare, there are scholarships available to qualifying students to help pay for Intersession costs.
