Clark Montessori Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) Results

Clark Montessori has now been through two extremely successful cycles of the Ohio Graduation Test! With the Montessori Method as the foundation for all of our teaching, we will strive to continue to achieve the stellar results we have enjoyed so far.

The Test
The Ohio Graduation Test replaced the 9th Grade Proficiency Test in 2005.
The OGT has five sections that are aligned with the Ohio's Academic Content Standards. They are: Reading, Mathematics, Writing, Science and Social Studies.
All Ohio high school students must pass all five sections in order to receive a high school diploma.

Students take the test the first time in the spring of their sophomore year. Any student who passes all five is completely done with the OGT!
If a student does not pass one or more sections of the test, they have at least four more opportunities to take the unpassed sections, two each in their Junior and Senior years.

In each of the five test sections, a student's result will fall into one of five levels: Advanced, Accelerated Proficient, Basic and Limited.
A result of Advanced, Accelrated or Proficient in any section is considered passing, Limited or Basic is considered failing.

Clark Montessori standards for earning a Clark Montessori High School diploma are higher than federal and state requirements. These include study of a foreign language, physical education, art, music, Community Service and Intersession.
The Ohio Graduation Test ensures that all students who receive a high school diploma from any Ohio high school are proficient or above at a 10th Grade level in the five educational standards.

The Results
Here they are! The tables on the pages below show the percentage of students falling into each of the five result categories for each of the five tests.

OGT results will be posted shortly after we receive them, which will be several weeks up to two months after the spring test date.
