Graduation Test (OGT) - 10th, 11th & 12th Graders
The Ohio Department of Education has 5 standards for K-12 education:
~ Reading
~ Writing
~ Science
~ Mathematics
~ Social Studies
There is one OGT test for all five of these standards. Tests occur one-per-day, each day on a different standard.
Ohio students first take the OGT in the spring of their 10th grade year. If a student fails any of the tests, they have four more opportunities, two in both their 11th and 12 grade years if necessary.
In order to receive a high school diploma in Ohio, students must pass all 5 tests.
Spring Test Dates - March 15 - 26, 2010- first attempt for all 10th graders
- also for 11th and 12th graders retested
in subjects not passed as a 10th or 11th grader.

PSAT is a practice test for the SAT.
For 11th graders, this test determines eligibility for the National
Merit Scolarship Program.
