Ohio
Graduation Test (OGT) - 10th, 11th & 12th Graders
The Ohio Department of Education has 5 standards of K-12 education - Reading, Writing, Science, Math and Social Studies.
There is one OGT test for all five of these standards. Tests occur one-per-day, each day on a different standard.
In order to receive a high school diploma
in Ohio, all students must pass all 5 tests.
Ohio students first take the OGT in the spring of their 10th grade year. If a student fails any of the tests, they have four more opportunities, two in both their 11th and 12 grade years if necessary.
