The Clark Montessori Music Department welcomes...

Marching Band

Admission - $6, or 4 for $20

On Wednesday, November 18th, Clark Montessori welcomes the Ohio State School for the Blind Marching Band to the school for a concert featuring the OSSB Marching Band, the Clark Steel Bands, Clark Jazz Cats and Clark Choir.

The Ohio State School for the Blind Marching Band is the nation's first and only marching band made up of musicians who are blind. Clearly this is a victory of high aspirations by people who care about doing their best under whatever circumstances.

Earlier this year, these aspirations were recognized even further, as the OSSB was chosen to participate in the coming Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena California, on January 1st, 2010.

Clark Montessori intends to make this a
wonderful and memorable evening!

We truly hope you can join us to welcome the
Ohio State School for the Blind Marching Band!

At the link below is a PDF on The Step Higher Tours - some take place over our Spring Break, March 22-29.

There is an information session on Saturday, November 14, 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the Carl Linder YMCA, 1425-B Linn St.

~
The Step Higher program offers students a variety of schools to visit on each college tour route. As a result, they get the opportunity to see the campuses first hand. This allows attendees of the tour, in many cases both parents and students alike to interact with the university's students and administrative staff in a true college atmosphere.

~
This interaction provides them the opportunity to choose a university that they feel comfortable with, which is an essential step in helping students achieve their educational goals.

~ During their college visit the students will also have an opportunity to experience the culture and lifestyle of the campus.

~
Prospective students will meet current students, college faculty and staff, peruse the bookstore and take part in the campus dining experience.

STEP HIGHER

Student Fundraising for
Field Studies and Intersession

Clark Montessori requires a number of field studies such as Andros, the various camps and intersessions, all of which can sometimes be substantially costly.

So to help meet the financial need, Clark also offers a number of fundraising opportunities so that families do not have to bear the entire financial burden alone.

A new permanent feature of the Clark website will be info on these various fundraisers -
  ~ what's involved,
~ how much can be made,
  ~ how to participate,
  ~ etc. and etc.,
- in the hopes of just simply making life easier for Clark families!

While there are more than the below fundraisers happening right now, and while ALL of them will be listed very soon, the below are three very good fundraisers.

We hope that EVERYONE WHO WANTS SOME MONEY FOR FIELD STUDIES* will participate!
