Student Athlete Awards

Throughout the year, various awards are presented to our outstanding Scholar Athletes.

Athletic Director Award: This Award is presented by the Athletic Director to the female and male high school athlete with the highest weighted GPA during their season of competition. Awarded at the end of each season.

Clark Scholar Athlete Academic Honors Award: This Award is presented by the Athletic Director to high school athletes with a GPA of 3.5 or greater during their season of competition. Awarded at the end of each season.

Triple Crown Award: This Award is presented by the Athletic Director to junior high and high school athletes who have earned letters in three sports in three seasons in a single school year. To be eligible, a student athlete must be on both the first and final season rosters and in good standing with the head coach, faculty, and Athletic Director. A student who has quit a team at any point through their high school career is not eligible.   Its purpose is to encourage participation in all three seasons. Award winners will receive their award toward the end of the school year.

Clark Special Recognition Award: This Award is presented by the Athletic Director to junior high and high school teams, athletes, and coaches who have distinguished themselves in league or post-season play. Awarded at the end of each season.

Letters: To receive a junior high or high school letter a student-athlete must be on the final team roster. Otherwise, it is the decision of the Athletic Director and coach.

Senior Academic Award: This Award is presented by Cincinnati Public Schools at its annual end-of-season banquet to seniors who have earned a varsity letter in their senior year and have a 7-semester GPA of 3.5 or greater.

First Team All-League Plaques, Second Team & Honorable Mention All-League Certificates: These Awards are presented by our Southwest Ohio Public League (SOPL) in soccer, volleyball, golf, basketball, baseball, & track and field. Awarded at the end of each season.

Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award: This Award is presented by the Athletic Director on behalf of the OHSAA to one female and one male high school athlete who has demonstrated outstanding traits of sportsmanship. Awarded at the end of the school year.

OHSAA Scholar Athlete Award: This Award is presented by the Athletic Director on behalf of the OHSAA to one female and one male high school athlete who have earned a varsity letter in their senior year and had the highest 7-semester weighted GPA.
