Children’s Kindness March - Sat. Feb. 18, 9-11 am
The local Montessori community is helping to coordinate a Children's Kindness March on February 18, in conjunction with National Random Acts of Kindness Week. Our idea is to start at Fountain Square and march to the carousel at Smale Park. Interested students and families can email Jake Towner.
Parent Education on LD/ADHD – Thurs. Mar. 23, 7-9 pm, Xavier U Cintas Center.
Dr. Jerome Schultz will present The Journey from Stress to Success for Students with LD/ADHD. Learn why students who have a poor understanding of the conditions that impact their learning are under chronic stress and why this impairs learning.

MYCincinnati after school orchestra program for youth
MyCincinnati is a FREE orchestra program in Price Hill that is seeking student volunteers to help participants with their homework and to assist with the orchestra program. Summer Camps at Kennedy Heights Arts Center
Kennedy Heights Arts Center (KHAC) is currently accepting applications for volunteers age 14 - 18 to help with their Summer Camps. Earn Service hours by working with kids while helping them create art. This year, they are offering 10 weeks of Summer Camps (around 25 camps in all) which run from June 5 - August 11th. Work hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm daily, Monday through Friday. Applicants may volunteer for one week or several, and each camp is usually assigned 2 volunteers.
- To apply: download, complete and submit the KH Art Center application form by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or print, complete, and mail the application form to Kennedy Heights Arts Center, Attn: Mallory, 6546 Montgomery Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45213
- Application deadline: April 14, 2017.
- Process: All new applicants will go through a short interview, and if accepted, volunteers will be required to attend one orientation meeting in May at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center.

Volunteers for 37th Annual National Veterans Wheelchair Games
Many volunteers are needed to set-up and break down basketball floors, make sedentary assignments in the hospitality area, and sign out specialty wheelchairs. This annual event will be held July 17-22, 2017. The games were established to introduce newly disabled Veterans to wheelchair sports, and, at the same time offer a quality competition to disabled Veterans at all levels of their rehabilitation. The games feature six days of intense competition consisting of 18 core sporting events. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society "Pennies for Patients" fundraiser – Feb. 13-24
For the next two weeks, Clark Montessori is participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients program, a service-learning program that gives students the unique experience of working together to help raise awareness and funds in honor of thousands of children and adults fighting against blood cancers. Students, faculty, parents, and alumni: please join in this effort to raise awareness and collect funds that will help find cures for blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. We are hoping to raise $2,017 to support LLS! Please consider donating by going to the Clark Montessori page of the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society website or by sending in check, cash or money order.
