Clark Montessori impact survey

It’s your turn to share with us how Clark’s Montessori program has an impact on your child.  Please complete the Clark Montessori Impact Survey.  It should take 5-15 minutes, depending on how much you wish to contribute, and invites all members of our community to share their stories and ideas.  Thank you in advance for your participation.

See the above dates and support your students by encouraging them to do their best and by making sure they get a good night’s sleep the night before and a good breakfast the morning of their tests. 

Music/Sports Boosters "Spring Fling" – April 7, 7-10:30 pm

All Clark adults (and friends!) are cordially invited to a fun night out that will benefit Clark sports teams and music ensembles!

Marburg Bridge closure

As a reminder, the Marburg Avenue bridge (at Wasson) will be closed for approximately six months.   Lane restrictions have been put in place on Wasson.  The first major step will be demolition of the existing bridge. Crews will use specially outfitted track hoe equipment for the demolition.

Staff Appreciation Luncheon

The Clark Montessori Foundation is looking for a parent to serve as a coordinator for the Staff Appreciation Luncheon in May. This volunteer would organize all efforts for the luncheon including organizing other volunteers, coordinating sign-ups for food, collecting food for the event as it is dropped off at school and managing all aspects the day of the luncheon.     Andros Stuff Swap

    We are organizing the first ever Andros Field Study Stuff Swap.

    • Donations: If you have fins, masks, snorkels, mesh bags, and/or field guides that you would like to donate, please bring to the front office by April 7th.
    • Community Service: High school students can earn community service for helping to organize materials; please see paraprofessional Sherry Young (in the office).
    • Need items? if you are the parent of an 8th grader who needs any or all of these items, please contact the Clark office at 363-7100.

    Community Service Opportunities

    North Avondale Montessori movie night – Fri. Apr. 7, 6:15 to 9 pm

    Volunteers are needed to assist with setup, concessions, supervising the students of NAM, and clean-up.  Student volunteers would need to be there from 6:15 to 9:00 pm. Contact NAM at 513-363-3900 or email Kevin Seck with questions or to volunteer.

    American Red Cross Smoke Alarm Megablitz – Sat. Apr. 29 

    The American Red Cross is saving lives by installing smoke alarms in the homes of those who need them.  They need volunteers help with their smoke alarm MegaBlitz  to help meet their goal of installing 1200 smoke alarms in a single day.  Youth ages 16 and 17 may serve with adults on 3-person in-home installation teams. Youth ages 13 – 15 may serve in support roles at the program base.   For more information and to register, visit the Red Cross Smoke Alarm Megablitz webpage.

    Kilgour Carnival – Sat. May 13, 11 am – 5 pm 

    Volunteers are needed to work 9:00 am-noon. Volunteers would be helping run game booths and the Redemption Table. Lunch is provided.  If you are interested in volunteering, please email Sara Lippert or call 513-325-8274 for more information.

    Growth, Learning, and Job Opportunities

    Redcross Leadership Development Camp – July 13–16, Xavier University

    • Who: youth ages 13 – 17.  
    • Cost: $225; need-based financial assistance is available on a limited basis

    • Details: A speaker is available to provide information for any interested youth or parent group.   

    Youth Summer Programs/Jobs Fair – April 22, 11am-5pm, Sharonville Convention Center

    Xavier University Spring College Fair – Tues. Apr. 46:30-8:00 pm, Cintas Center

    Last year over 150 colleges, universities and programs were represented. This college fair is great timing for juniors.

    Senior Families: Financial Aid Awards missing?

    If your college bound student has not yet received any financial aid awards, please reach out to us for assistance. We want to help solve potential problems before you are faced with having to make a decision. May 1st is the national college decision deadline.
