Student Volunteer Coordinator for Paddlefest
What: Paddlefest is America's Largest Paddling Trip! People rent or bring their own canoes/kayaks and join others to raise money for local charities.
Who: The event needs volunteers on the evening of Fri. Aug. 4 and the morning of Sat. Aug. 5 to help with parking and misc. tasks.

All proceeds from this event benefit OAC the Outdoor Adventure Club that serves CPS schools to get kids outdoors, hiking, biking, kayaking, rock climbing, skiing, skating and more.
Paddlefest helps promote and protect the Ohio River and is led by Brewster Rhoades.
Summer Camps at Kennedy Heights Arts Center
Kennedy Heights Arts Center is currently accepting applications for volunteers age 14 - 18 to help with their Summer Camps. Earn Service hours by working with kids while helping them create art. This year, they are offering 10 weeks of Summer Camps (around 25 camps in all) which run from June 5 - August 11th. Work hours are 9am to 3pm daily Monday through Friday. Applicants may volunteer for one week or several, and each camp is usually assigned 2 volunteers.
To apply, students should download and complete the application form (it can be found on the website below) and return it to the Kennedy Heights Arts Center by April 14, 2017. All new applicants will go through a short interview, and if accepted, volunteers will be required to attend one orientation meeting in May at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Starting on 2/13/17 through 2/24/17, Clark Montessori is participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients program, a service-learning program that gives students the unique experience of working together to help raise awareness and funds in honor of thousands of children and adults fighting against blood cancers. 2017 Ohio University Summer Jr. Executive Business Program for Students from Underrepresented Cultural Backgrounds
When: July 8 - 15, 2017
Where: Ohio University in Athens, Ohio
Who should apply: High achieving juniors from disproportionately represented cultural backgrounds who want to major in business when they go to college and are ranked within the top 30% of their class. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA or higher, and evidence of honors, AP or college level course work.
What's included: Room, board, meals and program fees will be covered. You will need to provide personal spending money and transportation to and from Athens.

The College of Wooster B-WISER Science Camp (Women in Science, Engineering and Research) – June 11-16
The B-WISER Science Camp is designed for girls entering 8th grade in 2017. Fee including room and board is $475 but several scholarships are available for students who qualify for free and reduced lunch, reducing the cost to $100.
