Providing a System of Extra Support for Middle and High School Students

CPS offers a system of supports with the aim of educating the whole child. Our Student Learning Support system is designed to identify and support students’:

  • Needs, so they may become skilled learners
  • Interests, so they are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of college and career
  • Strengths, so they may contribute to their school community and their own community

The supports summarized here are examples of services available to students in grades 7-12. Each high school may have additional supports or opportunities in place for students. Our aim is to continue building on what’s working in the years to come.

To learn more about the supports available at your child’s school, contact the school's principal, assistant principal or CLC coordinator.
